Officers seize home, citing drug activity

Lexington County authorities Monday seized a home that they say was associated with illegal drug activity for nearly a decade.

A narcotics team seized the home at 2424 Glenn Road near Gaston as part of a court order after the May 9 arrest of a person there on charges of possessing crack and marijuana.

In February, investigators arrested six people at the residence on charges of distributing crack. That sting also led to the arrest of 18 people suspected of coming to the home in pursuit of illegal drugs, the Sheriff’s Department said.

Some members of the family living there have arrest histories on drug charges dating to April 1993, the department said. Two shootings occurred at the home in 2004.
