Melanie Huggins began her library career 15 years ago in the children’s room of the Richland County Public Library. After professional stops in Charlotte and then St. Paul, Minn., Huggins returned to Columbia last week as the library’s new executive director.

LEXINGTON 1 GILBERT PRIMARY GILBERT PRIMARY SCHOOL has announced its honor roll lists for the fourth nine weeks of the 2008-09 academic year. Second-graders who have all A’s are named to the Principal’s List. Principal’s Honor Roll students are second-graders with all A’s and B’s.
