Devine Street, 1100 block, between midnight Nov. 12 and 11 a.m. Nov. 13. Someone broke into two city parking meters, stealing $14 in change and causing $700 in damage.

Gervais Street, 700 block, between midnight Nov. 11 and 3:10 p.m. Nov. 12. Someone stole a $350 cell phone that was on the counter at a business. The phone was later returned.

Hampton Street, 1900 block, between midnight and 6:50 a.m. Nov. 13. Someone opened a gate at a business, forced open a door and stole $3,000 in clothing, $1,500 in hand bags and three pairs of shoes valued at $150. Damage estimate was not reported.

Heyward Street, 300 block, between midnight Nov. 11 and 10:45 p.m. Nov. 12. Someone used a crowbar to try to pry open a door at a home and used a chair from the porch to break a window. Damage was $300.

Pickens Street, 1600 block, between midnight Nov. 11 and 2 p.m. Nov. 12. Someone grabbed a woman’s purse from her shoulder as she was walking. The $100 purse contained $400 in cash.
