Lexington County meth labs: Was meth made near your home?

Deputies found more than 50 meth labs in Lexington County in 2005 and 2006.

Click on a location on our interactive map below for details about what deputies found at that site.

The map is color-coded.

Blue indicates a lab found in a residence or vehicle.

Red means one or more children were found at the scene.

Green indicates a motel or hotel.

Four out of five of the labs were in the southernmost part of the county, though the area is home to only 20 percent of the county’s residents. Law enforcement officials refer to the area as the “Meth Triangle.”

Information is taken from incident reports provided by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
