What officials say needs to happen to lessen crime that spills out of North Columbia’s most dangerous apartment complexes and into neighborhoods

• A safety and security plan for each complex. The city would mandate measures such as fencing or security guards if needed.

• A renewed commitment to community policing by the Columbia Police Department
