Wilson Becoming Bigger Factor This Summer

July 7, 2008

7-0 center Matt Wilson is seeing his stock go up this summer and with it the interest from major college scouts. Wilson made a couple of visits recently to NC State and the Wolfpack is very interested his mother said. Wilson, who is attending a camp in Charlotte this week, was scouted by State assistant coach Monty Towe.

USC continues to show interest. "We've been playing phone tag," Wilson's mother said. "He's supposed to talk to coach Horn but hasn't yet. They want him to visit in August." Wilson visited UNC Wilmington and The College of Charleston last month. He's also looking at Davidson, Richmond, UNC Asheville, Charlotte, UNC Greensboro and Tulane.
