HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -- University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill football players testified Monday about a wild night of drinking last December that they say ended with them trussed and sexually molested by a woman while a naked man roamed their apartment with a kitchen knife.
The testimony in Orange County court came during the trial of Michael Troy Lewis, 32. The Durham man is charged with first-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to kidnap, rob and sexually batter. Closing arguments are expected to begin this morning for the case, in which the defense put on no witnesses.
Also accused in the case are Jenise Taylor of Greenville, who was charged with resisting a public officer, three counts of first-degree kidnapping, three counts of felony conspiracy and three counts of first-degree sex offense. Tnika Monta Washington of Durham is charged with resisting a public officer.
