DES MOINES, Iowa | Iowa running back Shonn Greene has been named a first-team AP All-American, while Hawkeyes defensive lineman Mitch King was named to the second team.
Greene, who last week won the Doak Walker Award as the nation's top running back, rushed for 1,729 yards and 17 touchdowns this season.
King collected 15½ tackles for losses this season and anchored a defense ranked eighth in the nation at 13.3 points allowed per game.
Iowa (8-4) will face South Carolina (7-5) in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla., on New Year's Day.
