Clemson gets first pledge for 2011 class

June 12, 2009

Clemson football picked up a commitment from defensive lineman DeShaun Williams (6-foot-1 280 pounds) of Central.

Williams is the son of former Clemson running back Ronald Williams, and as a sophomore he had 82 tackles and seven sacks. He attended a Clemson camp last week.

Williams is the Tigers' first commitment for the 2011 class.
