Two Richland County men have been arrested after they picked up a large package containing 37 pounds of marijuana at a local post office, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers saw Marvin Luther Myers, 29, and Jaqwuaa Quantis Mack, 19, pick up a package at the U.S. Post Office branch on 4840 Trenholm Road last week.

After agents watched the pair load the marijuana into a 2008 Nissan Altima, they arrested the two and confiscated $1,271 in cash along with the marijuana.

Today's news video

They are charged with trafficking in marijuana.

A press release from the sheriff’s department did not say where the package was shipped from.
