Meredith, E. Cook among NFL cuts
Former Gamecocks Jamon Meredith and Emanuel Cook were among the cuts NFL teams announced Saturday.
Meredith, a fifth-round selection in this year's NFL Draft, was one of 18 players waived by the Green Bay Packers.
Cook was one of 19 players cut by New York Jets coach Rex Ryan. Cook went undrafted in this year's NFL draft.
The Carolina Panthers on Saturday waived former USC lineman Casper Brinkley.
Earlier this week:
-- the New York Giants cut their final three selections in the draft, including former USC cornerback Stoney Woodson.
-- The San Francisco 49ers waived undrafted USC cornerback Carlos Thomas.
