GREER - Authorities said a 17-year-old Upstate girl was killed and five other people injured after they said an impaired driver wrecked a pickup truck.
Media reports said troopers determined there were three people inside the 1999 Ford pickup and three in its bed when it ran off U.S. 29 near Greer early Saturday and flipped.
Highway Patrol spokesman Cpl. Bryan McDougald said the pickup driver was charged with felony driving under the influence. Authorities said 17-year-old Zion Mills died in the wreck. She was sitting in the middle of the seat of the pickup and was not wearing a seat belt.
