The city of Columbia's annual Veterans Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. Nov. 11, after a memorial service to honor veterans in all military branches.
The outdoor service will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Sumter and Washington streets.
Afterward, the parade will run northbound on Sumter Street, beginning at Laurel and Sumter streets. Parking and traffic restrictions will apply along the parade route between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

"We are proud to honor our veterans for all of their dedication and service to our country," Mayor Bob Coble said in a news release.
Presented by the city of Columbia and supported by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, the parade will feature about 75 entries, including historic military vehicles, marching units, color guards, floats, and bands. Veterans service organizations, such as the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion, will be in attendance as well.
The parade grand marshal is retired Col. Charles P. Murray Jr., who is representing veterans of WW II and the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Columbia's Veterans Day parade began in 1978. The parade is designed to help commemorate and honor veterans as well as to educate Americans about the service and sacrifices they have made.
