According to the Sheriff's Department, the charges stemmed from a shooting Wednesday afternoon, in which a man was shot at his Pine Grove Road home. Detectives determined the shooting was connected to illegal drug activity.

The victim was listed in critical condition Thursday at Palmetto Health Richland, according to the department, adding that the incident was still under investigation.
