THE SKINNY: Hammond, the three-time defending SCISA Class 3A champion, plays its first road playoff game since 2005. The Skyhawks beat Wilson Hall 41-7 in last year's state final at Orangeburg and 35-7 earlier this season. Wilson Hall has won six consecutive games.

Players to watch

(HAMMOND) B.J. BENNETT - Showed the Skyhawks have serious rushing threat in Friday's 35-13 victory against Pinewood Prep. Bennett rushed for 221 yards and scored three touchdowns.

(WILSON HALL) JOSH GLENN - An all-purpose player, Glenn led the Barons past Augusta Christian 35-28 on Friday by throwing for 234 yards and a touchdown, and rushing for two scores.

HAMMOND WILL WIN IF ... The Skyhawks offense proves as potent as it has most of this season. Quarterback David Nidiffer, wide receiver Aaron Walters and Bennett should be able to produce four or five touchdowns.

WILSON HALL WILL WIN IF ... The Barons find a way to throw the ball as well against Hammond as they did against Augusta Christina, when Glenn and Wesley Talley combined for 309 passing yards with three touchdowns.

PREDICTION: Hammond 31, Wilson Hall 14
