Miley Cyrus, Gamecock?

There's a saying that you might've heard: Carolina girls are the best in the world.

USC fans surely would agree.

A Clemson fan, though, might say something like this: It makes a good jingle, but it doesn't mean it's necessarily true.

Let's settle the debate on the field - or at the arena.

Who do you think Miley Cyrus is pulling for this weekend? And if she was a South Carolinian, would she be a Gamecock or Tiger?

Here's our (very) unscientific poll.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?

Taylor Swift, who will play the arena in April, has two names. So does Carrie Underwood. And Martina McBride, who will perform Dec. 11. Miley is just Miley.

You say Miley, and everyone knows who you're talking about.

USC: Three words said with an accent: Ol' Ball Coach.

CLEMSON: Does anyone up there have a nickname that doesn't involve any combination of neck and red?

EDGE: USC. If nothing else, Steve Spurrier can win a nickname game.

CONFERENCE

Miley lives in Nashville. That should make her biased against the ACC, right?

USC: Nashville is close enough to Knoxville, where they don't like Steve Spurrier. (His comment about not being able to spell Citrus without UT is still hilarious.)

CLEMSON: Everyone in Tennessee likes the Tigers because they beat the Gamecocks.

EDGE: Tigers. Look at the record the last 10 years.

GARNET OR ORANGE

What color would she look better in?

USC: What are the chances of Miley wearing a Carolina jersey during the show? Shania Twain, Vince Neil and Jamie Foxx have worn jerseys. LeAnn Rimes wore one as a dress at Kenny Chesney's stadium concert in 2008. Yeah, that was a good look.

CLEMSON: I've heard one shoutout to Clemson at the arena - and it was a joke.

EDGE: USC. By a touchdown.

HAIR

The tousled look is in, and Miley knows how to throw hers around. It lets you know she's into the music.

USC: Quarterback Stephen Garcia cut his after he got into trouble a few times. He looks like he studies a lot now.

CLEMSON: Clemson quarterback Kyle Parker has the combed-back look that is only cool in Florida. Or Long Island.

EDGE: USC and Garcia. He's found himself a barber. For Clemson, if only Wily Korn was starting.

PARTY CITY

We've heard "Party in the U.S.A." Which is the better party destination, Tiger Town or Five Points?

USC: Have you heard the "Party in the USC"? Me neither. I'd rather hear Patrick Davis' "Big Ole Cock (Just A)."

CLEMSON: In the "Party" video, Miley is wearing cowboy boots and Daisy Duke shorts. She looks like a Clemson girl.

EDGE: Five Points. It's closer.

TWITTER

Before she quit Twitter, Miley was one of the most authentic voices using the service. I actually miss her tweets.

USC: USC Women's basketball coach Dawn Staley has a ghost tweeter during basketball games. The double-overtime action at Clemson on Nov. 19 was stirring without a TV or radio.

CLEMSON: If Clemson would've started a Twitter campaign for C.J. Spiller instead of a Web site, we wouldn't be talking (as much) about Tebow.

EDGE: USC. Twitter is cool.

SPLIT PERSONALITY

Miley Cyrus is Hannah Montana. But Hannah Montana isn't Miley Cyrus. See the difference?
