Pearl Harbor memorial service today

December 5, 2009

A Pearl Harbor Day memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today in downtown Columbia's Memorial Park.

The event will mark the 68th anniversary of Japan's Dec. 7, 1941 attack on U.S. forces in Hawaii, which led to the United States entering World War II.

The service will be at the Pearl Harbor monument. The park is at the corner of Hampton and Gadsden streets.
