Suspect sought in 3 parking lot robberies

The Lexington Police Department and Lexington County Sheriff's Department are investigating three robberies that targeted people in parking lots.

According to reports, all three occurred early morning Dec. 2 - the first at an ATM in the 3900 block of Platt Springs Road in Lexington County, and the other two in the town of Lexington at a Sonic on Columbia Avenue and Food Lion on West Main Street.

The suspect was a white male, wearing dark shorts and a long-sleeved shirt and driving what investigators believe was a white Mazda pickup truck. He was last seen traveling west on West Main Street toward Batesburg-Leesville.

During each of the crimes, the suspect had a shotgun.
