Columbia's Latino community will celebrate the 12th Day of Christmas Saturday with a parade, music, food and children's entertainment.

The city's first Three Kings Day parade and festival kicks off at 11 a.m. on the 1900 block of Decker Boulevard. The parade will roll to the 2500 block of Decker.

There, visitors can sample food from Latin American countries, listen to music and let their children play in a moon bounce. Booths and displays will be on hand for adults.

Today's news video

Because of cold weather, events will take place inside a vacant mall space near the Arcadia Self Storage on the 2500 block of Decker.

Three Kings is celebrated in many Latin American countries. Children are told that the wise men stop by their homes on the way to visit baby Jesus. Children leave food for their camels in exchange for gifts.
