What to watch
While focus will begin on how Clemson handles the likely absence of starting point Demontez Stitt, it could quickly turn to the battle of the bigs. The Tigers have been pushed around on the glass, and the Yellow Jackets' trio of Gani Lawal, Derrick Favors and 6-8 reserve Zach Peacock is arguably the most physical frontline in the ACC. Plus, Georgia Tech has burned Clemson in recent meetings with its post players beating Clemson's down the floor for easy transition baskets.
Starting lineups
CLEMSON
PG 5-9 Andre Young, So. 8.1
G 6-5 Tanner Smith, So. 10.7
F 6-6 David Potter, Sr. 6.9
PF 6-7 Trevor Booker, Sr. 15.4
C 6-8 Jerai Grant, Jr. 6.4
GEORGIA TECH
G 6-5 Iman Shumpert, So. 10.9
G 6-2 Mfon Udofia, Fr. 10.4
G 6-6 D'Andre Bell, Sr. 5.6
F 6-10 Derrick Favors, Fr. 11.5
C 6-9 Gani Lawal, Jr. 15.2
Bottom line
Without Stitt, the Tigers will need more from several players in order to negate the Yellow Jackets' size and home-court advantage.
