February 18, 2010

The annual auction to support Spring Valley High School offers unique merchandise and packages.

The auction begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at Palmetto GBA, 17 Technology Circle, at the intersection of Parklane and Farrow Roads in northeast Richland.

Among the auction items: jewelry, artwork, a fish fry for 25 diners, a Garden City beach condo getaway, a St. Patrick's Day celebration, Disney World passes and a guided quail hunt.

Proceeds benefit the Spring Valley Education Foundation's support for classroom supplies, teacher grants, after-school tutoring and testing, athletics and academic programs.

This year's auction, "Bursting with Pride," is the 24th conducted by the volunteer foundation. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
