Upcoming forums in Columbia mayoral race

The public is invited to attend these forums for mayoral candidates. Please e-mail information about any other group candidate events to abeam@thestate.com.

Monday: 6 p.m., Eau Claire Print Building, 3907 Ensor Ave., candidate meet-and-greet sponsored by the Columbia Central Labor Council of the S.C. AFL-CIO

Tuesday: 8 a.m., 930 Richland St., hosted by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce

March 9: 6 p.m., Trustus Theatre, 520 Lady St., hosted by the Congaree Vista Guild

March 11: 6 p.m., Cecil Tillis Center, 2711 Simpkins Lane, hosted by the Richland County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

March 15: 6:30 p.m., Petersen Hall, Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3100 Covenant Road, hosted by the Bradley community

March 16: 7 p.m., Richland County Public Library, 1431 Assembly St., hosted by the United Way of the Midlands, Central Carolina Community Foundation and the Midlands Interfaith Homeless Action Council. This forum will focus on the homeless.

March 22: 6:30 p.m., 701 Whaley building, 701 Whaley St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; debate runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Candidates will mingle with public from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sponsored by Columbia Opportunity Resource and Free Times, the debate will feature the five “top candidates” and have a cash bar.

March 25: 5:30 p.m., Eau Claire Print Building, 3907 Ensor Ave., sponsored by the Columbia Council of Neighborhoods
