At Awendaw, South Carolina shot a team total of 850 to finish fourth in the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Gamecocks were five shots behind winner LSU, while Clemson tied for eighth with N.C. State, 12 shots behind.
Patrick Rada led USC with a 207 to finish in a tie for third, three shots behind winner Matt Hill of North Carolina State. Wesley Bryan was seventh for the Gamecocks, five shots back of Hill.
Luke Hopkins tied for 10th to lead Clemson individually, and Jacob Burger was tied for 17th.

At Chapel Hill, N.C., North Carolina scored six runs in each of the first two innings and went on to beat South Carolina, 17-7. Briana Hamilton had two hits and two RBIs to lead the Gamecocks, 10-23 overall.

USC's Grimsley gets under-20 national team invite
USC forward Kayla Grimsley has been invited to the U.S. under-20 national team camp in mid-April in Carson, Calif. Grimsley earned the invite after impressing at an earlier camp this month. The sophomore led the SEC in goals with 13 and was second in points with 33.
EQUESTRIAN
Two USC riders in Nationals
South Carolina's Carly Babcock and Nicole Bourgeois earned individual seeds for the Varsity Equestrian National Championships, April 15-17 at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Babcock is one of eight riders who were selected to compete in the individual bracket for Equitation, while Bourgeois is one of eight riders who were selected to compete in the individual bracket for Equitation Over Fences.
