USC baseball moves up in national rankings

The South Carolina baseball team has moved up in this week's rankings.

The Gamecocks are No. 3 in the Collegiate Baseball Top 30; No. 7 in the Baseball America Top 25 and Rivals Top 25; and No. 8 the USA Today/ESPN coaches' poll.

The team swept Georgia this past weekend and returns home Friday to begin a three-game series with Alabama.

The Gamecocks are 32-8 on the year and 14-4 in SEC play. They lead the Southeastern Conference by one game over Arkansas and are two games ahead of Florida for the lead in the SEC East.
