Price earns Freshman All-America honors

South Carolina freshman right-handed pitcher Matt Price has earned Freshman All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball.

Price is among the top relievers in the country with a 3-1 record with a 2.72 ERA in 25 appearances and is among SEC leaders with eight saves.

He has hurled 43 innings and has 64 strikeouts to 17 walks. Opponents are batting .187 against him.

This season he earned second-team All-SEC honors and was named to SEC All-Freshman Team.
