Gamecock OT Quintin Richardson to have shoulder surgery

July 15, 2010

USC junior offensive tackle Quintin Richardson will have surgery after injuring his left shoulder.  His status for the 2010 season will be determined after surgery.   Last season, Richardson played in eight games with five starts. He started the  first  four  games  at  right  tackle  and  was  moved  to backup before regaining his starting assignment in the regular season finale against Clemson.     Richardson did not participate in the PapaJohns.com Bowl after undergoing right shoulder surgery in December.
