Richland County Councilman Jim Manning is in the hospital today after suffering a pulmonary embolism, according to his wife.
Sandy Manning said her husband is expected to be OK, but will most likely have to stay in the hospital most of this week after being admitted to the hospital at about 11 p.m. Saturday.
A pulmonary embolism is a blood clot in the lung.
Manning represents District 8, which runs from Forest Acres to Spring Valley.
