Brookland-Cayce defeated Ridge View in the championship match of the preseason Ridge View Invitational volleyball tournament on Saturday.
The Bearcats went 5-0 in the tune-up, downing the host Blazers two times on the way to the title. B-C scored a 25-11, 27-25 win in the finale after besting RV 25-15, 25-19 earlier in the day.
Morgan Stroud and Sara Henderson were the B-C voted to the all-tournament team. Diara Lewis and Ellie Jameson were Ridge Views all-tournament picks. Kiara Johnson of Fairfield Central rounded out the all-tournament team.
The final tournament standings: Brookland-Cayce 5-0; Ridge View 2-3; Fairfield Central 2-2; A.C. Flora 0-4.
Ridge View beat Fairfield Central for junior varsity honors.
