S.C. Chamber endorses in 22 House races

The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce endorsed Democrat Mia Butler over Republican Sheri Few in a competitive house race in Richland and Kershaw counties.

Butler is a former Chamber board member.

The Chamber endorsed candidates in 22 races Friday, with most going to incumbents or candidates running in districts likely to be held by their party’s nominee. In total, the Chamber endorsed 18 Republicans and 4 Democrats.

Also notable was the Chamber’s endorsement of incumbent Democrat Leon Stavrinakis, who is challenged by Republican Lee Edwards in Charleston County.
