Most facilities at St. Andrews Park will be closed starting Dec. 1 for renovations.

A gym, picnic shelter and playground at the park will be replaced, officials at the Richland County Recreation Commission said. The work is expected to take at least a year.

Athletic fields and tennis courts will remain open during the project.

The park is at 920 Beatty Road.

Classes and activities usually held at the park will be transferred at the Denny Terrace Community Center gym, 6429 Bishop Ave., Columbia.
