RICHLAND 1: Richland 1 recently honored its exceptional school volunteers at a reception and ceremony. Among honorees was Virginia Ariail, who has been a volunteer at Brennen Elementary for the past eight years. She goes in twice a week for about an hour and a half. That’s about twice as long as the average volunteer mentor. She spends this time taking students to the media center where they practice reading, language arts, and math skills. Her fun and energetic nature has brought smiles to many parents as they watch their children improve and grow with her assistance. SPECIAL TO THE STATE
