First, cut an opening into the bottom of the pumpkin and scrape out the pulp.

Place the stencil against the side of the pumpkin.

Poke holes along the lines of the pattern with a sharp tip (a punch hole or specialty carving tool will do the trick).

Once you’ve outlined the pattern, cut along the dots.

Follow the pattern to scrape the pumpkin (shaded) and cut holes in the pumpkin (black).

Place a small candle or light in the bottom and enjoy.
