Merle Haggard concert in Columbia postponed

January 15, 2012

Sunday night's Merle Haggard concert at the Township Auditorium has been postponed.

The country singer, who was part of the outlaw movement in the '60s and '70s, was ill, a promoter said. The new date is April 15. The promoter said Haggard had a virus. All tickets for the Sunday show will be honored on April 15.

This is the second Columbia concert in five days that has been postponed. Red Hot Chili Peppers postponed moved their Jan. 28 concert at the Colonial Life Arena to April 7 before Anthony Kiedis' foot surgery.
