The Columbia Museum of Art presents “Arts & Draughts” from 7 to 11 p.m. The event will feature work by Thomas Dempster and The Half and Half, food from Bone-In Artisan Barbecue and Earth Fare and music by Andy Friedman, Those Lavender Whales and The Get Wets. The Brevard Music Competition Recital will take place at the Wood Auditorium at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County at 4 p.m. The concert will showcase the young musicians competing for a scholarship to the Brevard Music Camp. The FAC is at 810 Lyttleton St., Camden. (803) 425-7676

HeTePu Productions will present the fourth annual Reel Black Pix through Sunday. Some highlights: An opening reception at 5:30 tonight at the Tapp’s Art Center, 1644 Main St. Mystic Vibrations will perform, and ETV Radio’s Osei Terry Chandler, host of “Roots Musik Karamu,” will lecture. “Language You Cry In,” a Gullah feature film, will be screened. On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., a hip-hop summit will be held at Tapp’s. Selah the Poet will host, and there will be a screening of “Ghetto Physics.” The film’s co-director E. Raymond Brown and Professor Griff, formerly of Public Enemy, will attend. On Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., there will be workshops and theater performances at the Columbia Museum of Art. Larry Hembree is throwing a wedding featuring many of Columbia’s talented performers to benefit the Nickelodeon Theatre. Guests are asked to dress for a low-class Southern wedding and bring potluck reception food. There will be a cash bar by The Whig and reception music spun by Motown DJ Jim Burns. The Pitchforks of Duke University will perform at the Wood Auditorium at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County at 8 p.m. The nationally acclaimed collegiate a cappella group is a past winner of the SoJam Collegiate A Cappella Festival. The Palmetto Health Heart Hospital is hosting a Zumbathon to break the world record for the most people doing Zumba. From 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center, there will be Zumba demonstrations followed by the world record session. An extra session will be offered from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Participants are asked to bring a physical activity item for Boys and Girls Club and are required to wear a red shirt. The Junior League of Columbia will hold Clean Sweep 2012 at the State Fairgrounds. The doors open at 8 a.m. in the Cantey Building. Thursday, Feb. 9

Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and The Have Nots” will be performed at the Township Auditorium through Feb. 11. The comedy follows a wealthy family who think they have everything they want in life but soon realize they are mistaken when their poverty-stricken maid comes to them for help.
