To become more self-sufficient, the S.C. Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism is raising more money in different ways. The most obvious change is a tiered annual park passport instituted this year. The statewide passport, which includes entry to the popular beach parks and Charles Towne Landing, will jump to $75 from $50, but theres also a new $50 inland park passport for the other 42 parks. A third option for $99 includes free admission to historic house tours, free access to swimming areas and a $10 parks gift card.
