Four more people have been arrested in connection with the attack of a Richland County deputy.

The attack happened when a deputy was trying to make an arrest about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Starlight subidivision in the 4500 block of Bluff Road. The officer tried to arrest the suspected drug dealer, but was attacked by the man’s family members before he could put handcuffs on both of the man’s wrists. The deputy was uninjured, despite being stabbed by a screwdriver.

Three of the family members were arrested, but the suspected dealer ran, prompting a search. Warren Spruilll Jr., who matched the description of the dealer, was found at a home in the 3000 block of East Way Park and arrested.
