8 tonight: Haley Dreis at Conundrum Music Hall. Haley Dreis, now living in Nashville, returns with a full-band performance. Dreis slides from pop to folk with such a graceful ease. With Emily Hearn and Carey Murdock. Conundrum is at 626 Meeting St., West Columbia. $5 for students, $10 for non-students; www.conundrum.us

8 tonight: The Runaway Jug Band at The Watershed. The Runaway Jug Band, a duo, plays a mix of Americana, folk and country music. Bradley Sanders, who plays a variety of instruments — acoustic guitar, mandolin, harmonica, bass drum and tambourine — handles a lot of the heavy lifting. It’s a wonder how he keeps it all straight — and still sing about the loves of his life. The Watershed is at 711 East Main St., $5; (803) 951-8944

Video from around the world

8 p.m. Saturday: Singer-Songwriter Night at Conundrum Music Hall. This event features a stacked lineup of singer-songwriters: Scottie Frier, Joshua Gale, Thomas Champagne, Emily McCollum, Sarah Hunter Howle, Mike Mewborne, Taylor Moore, Tyler Boone, Zach Fowler, Ned Durrett and Jayna Doyle. $5 for over 21, $8 for under

7 p.m. Saturday: Tom House at Alien Carnival House Concert. Tom House, a poetic singer-songwriter (something that is not as obvious as it sounds), returns to town. House will be a guest on WUSC-FM 90.5’s “Red Bank Bar and Grill with Uncle Gram” at 10 a.m. Saturday. Guests can start arriving at the house at 5:30 p.m. Bring a dish or beverage to share, if you wish. Tom Hall will open. $15; (803) 413-5676 or bocelts@yahoo.com for reservations

9 p.m. Saturday: Magnetic Flowers at Art Bar. Magnetic Flowers play artful indie-rock. With Capital City Playboys, Young Mumbles and Happiness Bomb. Art Bar is at 1211 Park St. $5; (803) 929-0198

7:30 p.m. Sunday: Red Wanting Blue at New Brookland Tavern. Red Wanting Blue...to cooperate, compromise or combine? Vice versa? If we’re talking about states, we can only hope. Red Wanting Blue is a traditional love-sick rock band with impassioned guitar solos. See, we’re all not so different. With Cover of Afternoon, Drunken Architect and Marc Shipley. NBT is at 122 State St., West Columbia. $5 for over 21, $8 for under

7 p.m. Thursday: Sent By Ravens at NBT. Sent By Ravens, a band from Hartsville that is signed to Tooth and Nail Records, creates some of the brightest modern rock that infuses metal-like breakdowns. It’s hard for one to tell that the band has been categorized as Christian post-hardcore, because the message isn’t the hammer. That’s expertly saved for the music. With Obraskai and Public Radio. $10
