NORTH SPRINGS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL has been named a Magnet School of Distinction by Magnet Schools of America (MSA), the National Association of Magnet and Theme-Based Schools.
RICHLAND TWO was recommended for continued Districtwide accreditation for the next five years by a review team from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS-CASI).
MILITARY
NAVY CONSTRUCTIONMAN BENJAMIN D. THOMPSON of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, transferred authority of Camp Krutke to NMCB-11. He is the son of Marilyn A. Thompson of Lexington.
ARMY NATIONAL GUARD Pvt. Patrick G. Parker graduated from One Station Unit Training. He is the son of Pat G. Parker of Columbia.
