Shaw gets new commander

Col. Clay Hall Monday assumed command of the 20th Fighter Wing at Shaw Air Force Base from former commander Col. Charlie Moore.

Maj. Gen. Lawrence Wells, 9th Air Force commander, presided over the change of command ceremony, with about 300 airmen, soldiers, civilians and others attending.

Hall previously served as commander of the 455th Expeditionary Operations Group, Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. Other postings include division chief and deputy director positions at the Headquarters United States Pacific Command at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii, and commander of the 555th Fighting Squadron at Aviano Air Base, Italy.

Moore will move on to command the 57th Wing, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
