Sippin’ sweet? Firefly Distillery’s new liqueur line

As mentioned in last week’s Carolina Kitchen column, Firefly Distillery on Wadmalaw Island has released a line of liqueurs with Southern dessert flavors. The Southern Accents line features banana pudding, peach cobbler and pecan pie flavors that can be enjoyed straight or with your favorite mixer. If you happen to be in the Charleston area, swing by the tasting room 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 6775 Bears Bluff Road on Wadmalaw Island.

Banana BBQ-Tini

1.5 oz Southern Accents Banana Pudding

.5 oz Firefly Sweet Tea Bourbon

1 oz heavy cream

Shake with ice, and strain into martini glass. Float bourbon on top and garnish with a dried banana chip.


Peach Cobbler Smash

1.5 oz Southern Accents Peach Cobbler

1 oz heavy cream

1/2 oz fresh orange juice

Shake with ice, pour into preferred glassware and garnish with an orange slice.


Pecan Souffle

1 oz Southern Accents Pecan Pie

.5 oz Firefly Sweet Tea Bourbon

1 oz heavy cream

Blend ingredients, pour into preferred glassware and dust with nutmeg.
