Hammond forces decisive game in SCISA semis

Hammond forced a third and deciding game in its SCISA state semifinal series against Northwood Academy with a 10-5 win on Thursday at Folsom Field. The Skyhawks dropped a 9-4 decision in the first game in North Charleston on Monday.

The teams square off tonight at Orangeburg Prep with the winner advancing to next week’s state championship series against ither Pinewood Prep or Laurence Manning Academy. Ironically, Pinewood and LMA have a do-or-die third game on tap Friday at Hammond’s Folsom Field.
