Departure ceremonies have been set for six S.C. National Guard units schedule to deploy to Kosovo.
The units will leave this weekend and next for the 12-month deployment.
Their mission is to conduct peacekeeping operations for Multinational Battle Group East.
The 500-member S.C. Guard contingent will join soldiers from nine other states to support the mission.
The departure ceremonies are:
--Headquarters and Headquarters Command, 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Buyer Auditorium, Mark Clark Hall, The Citadel, Charleston, Saturday at 2 p.m.
--132nd Military Police Company, West Columbia Armory, Platt Springs Road, Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
--Co. B 1-118th Combined Arms Battalion, Peach Festival, Gaffney, July 14 at 10 a.m.
--Headquarters and Headquarters Command, Cos. C&D 1-118th Combined Arms Brigade, Union County High School, 1163 Lakeside Drive, Union, July 14 at 1 p.m.
