Miss South Carolina Scholarship

The 17-year-old Piedmont native was one of 53 girls competing for the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen title in Orlando this week.

When she won the title of Miss SC Teen in July, Wyatt excited the crowd at the Township by getting down on one knee, and with her elbow on her knee and a fist to her head, she did what is commonly known as Tebowing. It’s the move Tim Tebow, an NFL quarterback, does after scoring touchdowns. It’s more impressive when done in heels; CNN featured video of the move.

"We are thrilled to have another national winner in the state of south Carolina. Rachel was awarded a 25,000 scholarship and will represent the nation as MIss America's Outstanding Teen 2013" Ashley Byrd, president and executive director of the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization, Inc.
