Game notes: Two teams hungry for wins square off on the campus of Columbia International University SCISAs Ben Lippen (0-3) is coming off a tough 31-27 loss at Heathwood Hall. Alec DeBoers 14-yard scoring run and Tyler Renews two-point conversion dash in the fourth quarter brought the Falcons within four points, but that was as close as they would get. Renew had another big game 120 yards rushing and three touchdowns and has 448 yards and nine TDs on 98 totes, and caught four passes for 100 yards and another tally. James Patterson was credited with 13 tackles and one forced fumble vs. Heathwood, while Jack Wilson finished with 10 tackles, one tackle for loess and one forced fumble. Season tackle leader Greg Williamson had nine stops to up his total to 30 C.A. Johnson fell to 0-4 in the wake of a 57-22 loss to Pelion a week ago. QB Mike Knox ran for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the latest Green Hornet setback. Knox has run for 224 yards, passed for 615 yards and accounted for six offensive touchdowns. Michael Watts (31 tackles) and Kenneth McDonald (26 tackles) are atop the hit list on defense. Series history: The teams are meeting for the third year in a row. Game notes: Eau Claire (1-2) suffered a 43-12 defeat against Dreher in its return to action last week after a bye week. Lake Marion (2-1) has won two in a row against Class 1A opposition, averaging 57.5 points in the triumphs over Denmark-Olar and Bethune-Bowman.
