As early as Wednesday, the Regional Transit Authority will produce a list of specific plans for revenues from a proposed penny sales tax.
RTA director Bob Schneider said in an interview Monday morning that voters “want real specific detail” about how the $301 million would be spent.
He said he is preparing a list to distribute to community groups that will specify where new bus stops and shelters would be located and commit to paper improvements such as the purchase of small buses, expanded hours, park and ride sites, and the restoration of Sunday service.
Richland County voters decide Nov. 6 on a local sales tax for transportation improvements, including bus service.
