Richland County authorities released surveillance video showing the recent armed robberies of two Midlands Zaxbys restaurants.
The first occurred Sept. 23. Just before 8 p.m. the suspect entered the restaurant, ordered food and then pulled a handgun and demanded money when the cash drawer opened. The suspect is seen in the video reaching across the counter to grab the cash in the drawer, then fleeing.
In the second incident Tuesday, investigators said the suspect again placed an order, then pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and told the clerk to step back when the cash register opened. He reached across the counter, grabbed the money in the cash drawer and fled the business.
Anyone with information about the crimes or the suspected armed robber(s) is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
