Kershaw County deputies arrested two people after finding drugs, stolen guns and hundreds of dollars while executing a search warrant at a Camden home Friday.
Dee Dee Drakeford, 30, and Samuel Stewart, 21, both of Camden were both arrested after deputies found five handguns, several ounces of marijuana, ecstasy tablets, cash and drug paraphernalia at a home in the 1000 block of Campbell Street in Camden. Deputies obtained the search warrants after following up on complaints from citizens who lived in the area.
Two of the guns recovered in the search warrant were reported stolen in burglaries, deputies say, and are thought to have been traded for drugs.
Drakeford and Stewart are both charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of ecstasy and two counts each of possession of a stolen firearm. Other arrests are possible as the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the stolen guns.
Drakeford and Stewart are being held at the Kershaw County Detention Center.
