A cozy way to help
La-Z-Boy in Lexington is taking part in the chains annual regional trade-in for charity event.
Beginning Wednesday and continuing through Oct. 30, customers can trade in gently used furniture that will be given, along with cash donations, to local charities that serve those in need.
Customers can then apply their trade-ins to the purchase of a new chair or sofa.
We take care of all of the work for our customers, said Martha Brown, co-owner of Tipperary Sales Inc., which operates six La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina. When we deliver their new furniture, we also pick up the item for donation at our expense, and take it to our charity partners.
During the trade-in event, La-Z-Boy also will provide the same new furniture discount in return for a $25 donation or more, written to the charity of the customers choice. La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries collects the checks and forwards them to the selected charity.
The Lexington La-Z-Boy is at 5342 Sunset Blvd.
