The names of the man and woman found dead in their Rosewood area home Monday have been released.

William R. Broll, 60, shot and killed Kathleen P. Kee, 54, before turning the gun on himself at their 1112 S. Ott. Road home, Richland County coroner Gary Watts said Tuesday. Both died from gunshot wounds to the head.

A man who knew the couple coming to the home about 1:30 p.m. Monday discovered their bodies, and deputies spent most of the afternoon investigating the scene.

Neighbors told investigators that they had heard gunshots Monday night,, but no one called police. Those gunshots were likely the ones that killed Broll and Kee, Watts said.

Deputies recovered a weapon at the scene.
