Columbia police investigators have identified two people who are of interest in connection with reports of shots being fired Sept. 28 in Five Points.
People called the police department about possible shots fired about 7:30 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of Harden Street, according to a police report. No injuries or property damage were reported.
The two men who have been listed as persons of interest were seen on surveillance video from the area at the time the shots were fired. They were seen getting into a pickup truck, which possibly was a Chevrolet Colorado, police said.
It was the second random shooting reported within a week in Five Points.
In the early morning hours of Sept. 23, shots were fired in the same block, which is between Greene and College streets. In that shooting, a vehicle was damaged but no people were reported as injured. No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information on the shootings or the identities of the people of interest should call Crimestoppers at 1-888-274-6373.
